No you're right, the article did portray that lifestyle as somewhat unfair to the horses, but on the other hand, some horses really do enjoy the crowds and attention. It also surprised me that they put a horse with Navicular to work in harness. But also, judging from the tone of the article, I wonder how much the author actually knows about horses.
