She's not quiet 10. To make a barn as sturdy as a house you wouild need to make a concrete floor and inner walls that tie to the rafters. That's a house, not a barn. Don't you think I'll make it as strong as I can though? I'm the last person that would want harm to my horses.
I like that plan. I guess I could leave the front door open too:')
I don't know why I thought SL was 14.
I like concrete floors in barns and aisles.... makes them a lot easier to clean. My stalls here are concrete with mats on top.
I don't mean to be a weather snob, I just would really worry about making a strong structure if I lived in that... I mean... there's a hurricane season every year... it would make me nuts to every year be at risk of losing everything to a storm that decides to turn your way.
Thanks, y'all! Cashel was the brand I borrowed. Thanks for the links!
Here's another one -- do you have a favorite place to buy kids' riding helmets? Well, I guess I'd buy one for me, too.
I don't really have a favorite online place, but State Line Tack is a big one.
I'd probably buy something like that in person if you have any kind of tack shop nearby, so I could try on different ones.
There aren't really, not up here. Unless you count Boot Barn, I suppose. I imagine a $30 helmet costs $60 there. I'm sure there must be places down toward Los Angeles. You're right, it would be better to try them on.
Huh.... I don't really have a brand name to even recommend, I haven't ever worn anything but hunt caps, and not even those for years.
"Oh I love Kentucky. That's another state that I would consider moving to."
That would have been my first choice over Texas, but the weather is warmer here and for some reason warmer was better than horses. Actually I thought I would find LOTS of horses here LOL
I'm so mad girls I can hardly see. To give you a little background on what's going on:
My ob/gyn went out of business 2 years ago and I switched all of my scripts to my endocrinologist as I had no other doctor. Yesterday I called in a script renewal on a drug that I take for IBS. The pharmacy called and said the doctor refused to renew it, since he's only renewed it one time and I've never been examined by him for IBS. He's been filling that prescription since August of 2003! To make matters worse, he's out with pnemonia and the nurses wouldn't call him at home. I called the pharmacy, they have the records of my endo taking over that script in aug. 2003 but the nurses assure me that they didn't call it in until Oct. 2004. I've been dealing with this pharmacy for a long time and they are sticklers for protocol, no way would they switch that over without talking to the doctor and for gosh sakes, I remember asking the doctor to do it when my ob/gyn went out of business! Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
The nurses kept telling me, "oh, he's really sick, out with pnemonia." I said, "well, I just feel real sorry for him but if I don't get my meds I'm going to be rip roaring sick and I have 5 kids to take care of!" What I wanted to say was, "I don't give a rat's ass if he's sick or not, I need my meds!" I did say, "for God's sake, it's not morphine!"
You're right, it ain't Morphine.... I'd think a short term exception could be made! Good luck.
Boy, somebody is all screwed up there!!! Do they have somebody new in that pharmacy that doesn't know what they are doing?
For a brand of helmet, I'd go with a Troxel if you're just going to school and not show. They're lightweight, durable and they have vents in the top so they breath easy and you have ventilation to your head. Makes a world of difference, believe me.
It wasn't the pharmacy, their records and mine are the same. It's the stupid doctor's office. They are saying my records and the pharmacy records are wrong and theirs are right. friggin morons. It couldn't possibly be their mistake, they are better than God, they're a DOCTOR'S OFFICE. Those people can be soooo arrogant.
Tuffy that's really terrible I'm so sorry. I can't believe that they won't at least give you a script for a couple of days worth of pills. Are you completely out? I can sympathize with you because I've had ulcers up the wazoo as of late, as well as other problems relating to that.
The stupid nurse just called and said she'd give me a months supply, that way I'll have time to get an appointment with the doctor. I don't want to see that dang doctor about my stomach, he's an endocrinologist! He doesn't know anything about IBS. I miss my ob/gyn so much, I could get anything I wanted (within reason, of course. no diet pills) with a phone call. I saw him for many years and he trusted me. This stupid endo has seen me for nearly 6 years and I've NEVER asked for anything questionable. He should trust me by now.
I started taking this stomach medicine 15 years ago and since I don't see that gastro doctor anymore, the meds fixed the problem for the most part, my ob/gyn had no problem filling it for me. I miss him so much. He was a great doctor, delivered all my children.
Ohh I see. Yea, docs can be like that, for sure.
