Disco music replaced live music. It remains a problem to this day.

There is a split between popular "production" music with a lot of flash (and drugs) and the live experience.

Whether it is cocaine and disco or ecstasy and house music, it is all drugs and bad beats. There is no heart.

Gotta disagree.....plenty of disco with heart and soul....and I'd take it today over much of the live music out there....most of it is WAY too loud and WAY too amateurish....
