It really went down when they started their own "Battle of the Network Stars" type cross-character competition.

All those Scooby-doo *movies* with Sonny and Cher, Don Knotts, the Three Stooges (not the real dudes, of course), The Harlem Globetrotters, Scooby in love with Sandy Duncan, his eyes would turn to hearts when he looked at her ...

To think kids these days only get the Power-Puff girls and Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Poor lil deprived ones ...
