My patience for new rock & roll expired in the early 1990s.
I hated what was on the radio in the 1970s (at least early/mid) and in background of tv and movies (at least that I saw/heard as a kid).
Brownsville Station had a few songs I liked as a kid but only decades later did I learn that Cub Koda was a big Link Wray, Andre Williams, and Chuck Berry fan. I could have gotten a 12 year head start on my record collection if I had been exposed to the "good stuff" much earlier.
