Did you ever see the Cheers episode where Lilith finds out that Frasier was married before, to "Nanny G," a children's singer? She sings at his son's birthday party and the song is "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." Frasier tries to pass it off as a song for his son, rather than Nanny G hitting on him. Then Nanny G sings "the first time, ever I lay with you" with a meaningful glance at Frasier and Lilith tackles her...

I don't think it was anyone well known. I was not a huge Cheers fan, but the scene is hilarious. Lilith refers to the first wife as "Nanny G Spot" and while the women are slugging it out, Frasier tells Sam that it's the proudest moment of his life, or something like that. Kelsey Grammar has a real gift for delivering his lines....

I have it on CD. I loved Elton John mightily, up until about "The Fox" album.

John Davidson? That's Incredible!
Did he release that on an album, or did he perform on "The Mike Douglas Show"?

the paint had peeled off down to the primer and he would paint it over with Rust-o-leum? And how he always had to have plastic milk bottles filled with water in the back because there was no way to keep the radiator from leaking?OMG! ROFLMAO--and recalling many, many more nightmares from Detroit including the Chevette...eeeeesh.
When my Ford Fairmont was in the shop, borrowed my friend's Chevette for a nursing school project. The Chevette broke down--coasting to a dead stop at the entrance to a cemetery. Very appropriate.

They weren't hip-huggers, they had a seam that ran up the back of the leg and framed your rear-end, then ran back the other leg. They were sexxxxyyyy.

Ooops, I spoke too soon. Per Google, Nanny Gee (not "G") is played by Emma Thompson! Then later she appears on "Frasier" played by Laurie Metcalf.

Emma Thompson played Nanny G
