The 1970s were a time of some serious changes in our society and culture. Some good, most bad. Here at the Pissant Reasearch Center, we've compiled the Top 5 lists of the good and bad which that forgetful decade foisted upon us.
TOP 5 BAD THINGS FROM THE 1970s
5. Polyester suits
4. Detroits Automobiles
3. Jane Fonda
2. Disco
1. Jimmy Carter
TOP 5 GOOD THINGS FROM THE 1970s (this is tough)
5. Scooby Doo
4. Dorothy Hammill
3. Monday Night Football team (Cossell, Meridith, Gifford)
2. John Paul II
1. Count Chocula & Frankenberry
You haven't heard what I'm offering as an incentive to post on the thread. ;-)
I can think of a good one to bring out the masses! ;o)
A box of red sharpies?
Isn't Dasher the Mistress here? :-)
She's the mistress of discipline, at least for skooz anyway. She's still trying to break me, but it ain't gonna work!
I don't like the sound of that. And remember, turn about is fair play. ;-)
Come over to the dark side...............
LOL
No, it won't be Sharpies. But it will involve pissant. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please FR mail me. :-)
Methinks someone doth protesteth too much. ;-)
"The Rockford Files" "Police Story"
Speaking of The Rockford Files,
the 70s had this bizarre phenomenon of TV show theme songs becoming radio hits and blaring incessently from top-40 stations.
Really weird. The Rockford files was the first, I believe, but it was followed by Welcome Back Kotter and Laverne and Shirley, among others.
Man, it was annoying.
Well, then you better convince pissant to post it. If I do it, it won't get nearly as much attention. I don't have even close to the same number of fans that he does. ;-)
The sound of what?
Naw. I'm not the submissive type. If you meet me you'll find out! ;o)
You have every male in Freepdom as fans now. Much to my chagrin! ;o)
I can think of a good one to bring out the masses! ;o)
I don't like the sound of that because it probably involves embarrassment of some sort for me. :-)
You do know how to flatter a girl. And you know that you'll always be my number one FR man. I just have to accept that I have lots of company. ;-)
Oh I gotta find a pic of Angie baby!
I'm thinking black dress. ;o)
I've got to go get ready for the party. Have a great weekend if I don't see you until Monday. Be good. :-)
