The 1970s were a time of some serious changes in our society and culture. Some good, most bad. Here at the Pissant Reasearch Center, we've compiled the Top 5 lists of the good and bad which that forgetful decade foisted upon us.

TOP 5 GOOD THINGS FROM THE 1970s (this is tough)

1. Count Chocula & Frankenberry
:-)
I'm ashamed to say I know this, but the show (both the pilot and the series) was called "Salvage 1". Andy Griffith was in it.
Salvage 1...oh man! LOL! I still remember the whole family watching the show and wondering...what is Andy G., doing in the dumpster! Sad to say, we watched the whole show and might have even enjoyed it...kinda like watching a wreck.
My whole family sat and watched the pilot episode/made-for-TV movie. I remember that the thing was promoted like crazy. What were we thinking?
Wasn't this the time the Space Shuttle had just done the test landing (taken off from the back of a 747). The US was going to dominate space with a whole fleet of space shuttles, and here comes a show that tells the whole world that our garbage pickers can build a space ship with garbage cans. It was the whole feel good factor...I can't even write this stuff without laughing at myself....
Keep on doing it. I want this thread to reach 1970. I'm going to add pictures when I have an opportunity.
"Muskrat Love" had already gotten lots of mention so I ignored it....give me "Close The Door" by Teddy Pendergrass any day or "Natural Man" by Lou Rawls
I don't think the Doobie's music has held up well over time.
Good morning. :-)
My ex wanted to be Bruce Lee. And he mourned for a week when Brandon Lee was killed.
Top o' the morn to you, too!
Bruce Lee was one of my idols as a kid. Until I finally realized that the fighting in his movies was SO phony!
After that, I went back to Sean Connery & John Wayne!
OMG, Mood Rings. LOL!
Ah, yes. Who could forget the Shlemiel, Shlemazel, Hassenfeffer Incorporated girls?
Did you see the one with Kareem Abdul Jabbar? The fight between he and Bruce Lee was hysterical.
And Schotz beer
Yes, it was in Game of Death, I believe. And I think Bruce died before they finished the film.
My ex said that they used cardboard mannequins of Bruce Lee to finish that movie.
