Absolutely waterbeds and mirrored ceilings. We were baaaaaad.
The big joke in LA was the threat of getting killed by waterbeds rumbling uncontrolled down hillsides during earthquakes. Lots of Hollywood Hills dwellers kept them on their decks.

I was crazy about Benny and the Jets. We danced to it in our house.
Remember tuxedo T-shirts? Our whole family wore them to a Christmas party.

The worst:
1. Roe V Wade
2. The rise of islamic fundamentalism
3. Jimmuh Carter
4. Allowing the Democrats to stab our South Vietnamese Allies in the back.
The best:
1. The Rise of Reagan
2. The (Temporary) Victory in Vietnam

The first two Godfather movies were brilliant. I miss the days when Pacino and DeNiro could actually act.
The worst...anything other than Godfather II with a roman numeral in the title. The start of the endless sequels began in the 70's, and has yet to stop.

I think they were Diane von Furstenburg dresses.
Other 70's designers (started getting famous in the 70's):
Halston
Emanuel Ungaro
Geoffrey Beene
Bill Blass
Ralph Lauren
Oscar de la Renta
Valentino
Pauline Trigere
Maud Frizon (shoes)
Mary McFadden
Yves St. Laurent
Vogue magazine was great in the 1970's. Beautiful models and clothes, unlike now.
Speaking of 70's clothes, how could we forget those polyester pantsuits for women? Yuck.

graffiti wallpaper-LOL.
It was a very creative time. We all pushed the edge of the envelope a bit. Lots of laughs, no big worries. I did quite a lot of traveling and was welcomed by people around the world with open arms just because I was an American.
