Mornin' Amy.
Just got back from a ceremony held on the 7th Street Bridge. The local VFW and American Legion chapters present colors, 21 gun salute, and while a single bugler plays "Taps", a floral wreath and flower petals are cast into the flowing waters of the Tuolumne (Too-all-a-me) River in honor of those who lost their lives at sea.
One more ceremony to attend at 1 pm. So many Memorial Day events to chose from around here, but I narrowed my list down to three.
Honoring those who gave all.
I'm getting a very late start but we hope to get by Fresno Memorial Gardens this morning. I don't think we will make it to the ceremony but seeing the Avenue of Flags is worth the short drive. I hope we get close enough to see the fly over.
We won't be able to get in because it will be at least a mile walk from where we will find parking. That is too far for me and Marissa.
Enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day.
