Juventus to unleash Mutu - May 25, 2005
Adrian Mutu could make his debut for Juventus on Sunday after serving his seven-month drug ban.
The Romanians suspension expired yesterday and he is expected to appear against Cagliari at the weekend.
"I think that there will be a little space for him in the last game of the season," stated boss Fabio Capello.
The new Italian champions signed Mutu in January, with the help of Livorno, after he was sacked for using cocaine by Chelsea last year.
Hes been training with the Turin giants ever since and is set to start on the bench at the Delle Alpi in Week 38.
Mutu also recently won a recall to the Romanian national squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualification games against Holland and Armenia.
However, there are reports that Sundays match could be Mutus first and last for the Old Lady of Italian football.
Whispers suggest that Juve will use him as a pawn on the transfer market, possibly set to offer Roma his services in return for Antonio Cassano.
I thought the soccer season ended in Europe.
