I used to threaten to visit my children's schools in a hideous purple muu-muu with orange sunflowers and my red, white and blue converse sneakers...somehow, they never gave me cause. (Visions of a Will Farrell Dog humiliation/ training video popping into my head...)
some other ideas were to do a little dance step out in public (that would kill my older two for sure, i will dance in place while driving and they roar if someone next to us looks at me, like i CARE!!) or wearing an ankle bracelet
LOL, Dutchgirl! Funny how your kids never gave you cause. I used to make similar threats...but would sometimes follow through even if they didn't do anything wrong. I just liked seeing their sweet gaping pieholes...that then turned to laughter and them running away. I'd just say "what?...what's wrong?"
LOL on that Will Farrel bit. My son and I were just howling about that one day before yesterday.
