My initial reaction was disgust with our Republicans but I'm beginning to see the method to their madness now. I think the Democrats are going to drive themselves right over a cliff when it comes to the Supreme Court nominees - it will be closer to mid terms and far more devastating. Though it may not appear this way now - the Republicans are setting the Dems up for a big fall.

Actually, i believe that there will be many more Circuit Court nominees nominated by Bush in the coming months(there are some still to be filled) that will cause the Dem's to yet again filibuster. That is when the showdown will begin.

By filibustering over and over on conservative nominees, the Dem's risk exposing themselves as rampant obstructionists. Americans just might say... 'surely every nominee isn't a radical/extremist?

The second time around I believe that Frist will go right to a Constitutional/nuclear option vote if the Dem's take the course I described..
