He misses the point of the potentiality of JRB....We have also, if she turns out to be the one, gained the upper hand in the everyoneknowsitscoming SCOTUS fight.

Also, if She is indeed the one, the Pubbies will look downright Justified in going Nuclear immediately.

He's a cancer survivor too, isn't he? That will make it more difficult to replace him.

That I don't know. Maybe.

Yeah - Erroresolute, most certainly.

They sold out their party, us, and their honor (what little remained of it) for the praise of the NYTimes and ABBCNNBCBS...

"...for the praise of the NYTimes and ABBCNNBCBS..."

Just as Rush describes it.

When they are in their home towns, or running for office, their door is open, and you can reach them on the phone. But once ensconced in the cushy DC office, where do they get their information? It seems, in that fetid swamp, they become infested with irresolution. They get the vapors.

Unfortunately, they change channels on their communication system there. Or as Jonathan Swift mentioned, their ears are controlled by dyed-in-the-wool Government Party flappers, who decide for them what they hear once they get to Washington.

Nope. As I said, JRB is going to be confirmed, and she is a perfectly suited(in fact better than) replacement for Rhenquist, be it as CJ or not, And either of the two remaining, or an as of yet unseen third, will be a marked improvement over O'Connor.

I can already hear the whining about JBR or the others "the white house didn't consult us". I have no confidence we can get conservative justices to SCOTUS when we have 52 opponents.

52 > 48.
