He will be happy to tell you that Scotland is a separate nation.

I suppose there are people in Texas who would like Texas to be a separate country, but it isn't. And likewise, Scotland is a British country irregardless of what our fellow freeper says.

It's kind of like if you had said:

He's a Texan, dear, not an American.

See what I mean?

He has been very vocal about anyone who gets it wrong.

Take a look at the Charles and Diana thread for an example.

He would be ripping your head off over this.

Scotland is part of the union of nation states, which are Scotland, England and Wales. The United Kingdom is made up of Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Scotland is a separate nation under this union of nation states. It is not the same as Texas which is just a state.

Once again, what is your real issue here?

Is this supposed to be punishment for bad mouthing your Annie?

So are you more of an expert on the United Kingdom and Great Britain than an actual British subject?
