I don't think she is incapable of speaking politely to anyone, as you do; I don't necessarily think he tried to be nice or get her onto some sort of neutral ground, as you do. Like I said, I believe the first words out of his mouth (at least on air, and at least within the first 15 seconds) were, "why are you so angry". That's hardly nice or neutral, IMO. She smiled the entire time she was on the show.
