I don't own a gun, I live in a peaceful village and the village cops just laughed at me tonight when I whined about the bear.
I did take the extra few seconds to back the car into the drive so I was closer to the front door. I am a wuss. I was shaking....I have to get control - I am supposed to run to danger and help people....... (deep breath)
Some day we can have a fight about NY gun laws. But not tonight. Go hug your hubby.
Shame on them for laughing...bears are serious problems, and even black bears have been known to hunt children...Not far from here (in Utah) sometime in the last few years, a 12 year old was pulled through the window of a cabin by a black bear, carried off and killed...
