One last thing; I saw Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith Friday night. IMHO, it was very good. It might have been excellent if an actual actor had played Anakin Skywalker, and not the execrable Hayden Christiansen. It's to George Lucas' credit that the film worked despite putting a high school drama-quality performer in the starring role. I gotta think that McGregor, McDiarmid, and Jackson were thinking to themselves, "George, thanks for the gig, but JEEZ! I gotta share a scene with a guy who flunked out of William Shatner Acting School and Karaoke Bar?"

But I digress. What I really want to say is that any proclamations that Sith is an anti-Bush screed are based in ignorance and/or wishful thinking. Christiansen, contradicting Lucas' denial that the script targeted W, suggested that French audiences would love Sith because it was so obviously anti-Bush. Maybe so, who knows -- but if the Jedi were French, Episode III would have been the final chapter; there would never have been a resistance.

The guy who portrayed Anakin Skywalker successfully conveyed the message that Anakin's biggest problem was brain damage of some sort.

I kept thinking "Son of Sam", or maybe "Erik Dahmer".

Recalling his childhood as a slave, the fact that he ended up as an adult sociopath should not be surprising.

BTW, was the actor really acting ~ I got the idea he wasn't. Definitely a man to be watched, eh?!

Oh, and the French are going to be very upset with this since they will realize that the Emperor follows Napoleon's script.

Never watched Cold Case ~ CBS has been off my list since that nasty Barbara Streisand thing about the Reagans.

Seems I haven't missed a thing.

CBS' "COLD CASE" CANCELLED - ON MY TV (Teen Lesbo Makeout Scene Is Last Straw)

That's what it took to get this thing cancelled, not the cr** acting?? Pardon me if my outrage meter didn't quite make it up high enough here.

Oh, wait a minute ...it's early Sunday morn, just took a better look. It's only in HER living room that the show has been *cancelled*, not a CBS demise.

So the cr** acting will be allowed to continue ... along with the rat's nest hair do. Such is American pop culture.

Except for NFL Football and MLB Baseball (and even they are staring to push my tolerance levels), NO NETWORK TELEVISION SHOWS are viewed in my home.

So the cr** acting will be allowed to continue

I actually think Kathryn Morris is pretty good. But see my note about Hayden Christiansen.

My expectations about Sith were set so low after Attack of the Clones sucked like a Hoover, I can deal with Christiansen's worthlessness just to get a decent set-up for Episode IV.

It was only canceled on the author's TV. I think it's still on.

IMHO, this show is middle of the road stuff compared to Crossing Jordan and Law and Order SVU.

Watching Crossing Jordan has actually become fun. Just count how many times they throw a huge PC cowpie right in the viewers face. Of course, the Catholic Church, religion in general, and homosexuality are the main themes.

SVU is so disgustingly aberrant, that if justice were fair, the writers of this would be charged for inciting the flood of sex crimes against children lately. There can't possibly be any more depraved, appalling crimes committed almost every show, against small children. USA runs this filth seven nights a week, over and over. They ought to be in jail, too.

Cold case WAS one of my favorites also, but, I saw where it was going about the same time and decided after last weeks episode I had had enough.

I watched 2 or 3 early episodes of Cold Case, but I didn't care for the washed out bluish colors, the neurasthenic acting of the lead actress, and those ghost music videos at the end of each show.

Thanks for the ping! Great piece.

I've never been a big fan of Cold Case. I think I may have seen 5 episodes at most. The show irritates me on a technical level rather than political (though I agree with your points).

Don't know if you've ever watched it, but if you're looking for a (relatively) Conservative show, you might consider giving CSI: NY a chance. The lead character played by Gary Sinise is a patriotic ex-Marine, an honest cop and an all-around good guy. He even has a framed photo of President Reagan hanging in his office and he goes out of his way to defend the honor of anyone that wears a uniform. Good show.

Exactly about the "liberal propaganda" part!

During the election, there were numerous, snide, little asides about the evil republicans. They were gone as quickly as they arrived, but they were nasty little barbs.

TOO BAD...I, too, like Cold Case.
