Thanks for a few of you sticking up for us. Eddie65 emailed me privately, and was as upset as I was. I don't know if either of us will come back.
May I please just say how very sorry I am for doing it wrong? I've never done this sort of live chat before, except a "fan club" I was on for a few weeks last year. (That's where I learned LOL means laugh out loud.)
What I did was read at the site for about an hour. I went to your archives hoping to have my simple question answered. I just wanted to help my daughter find some conservative friends in a town that isn't very conservative, or nice. When I couldn't find a 'thread'? is that what you call it? about acting or actors, I decided to try my own question. The site DID say to jump on in, or jump right in, or something, and I took it at its word. I guess it lied. I registered and posted my question. If you don't want other people to do that, will you please WRITE IT ON YOUR HOME PAGE SOMEWHERE??? Gosh!
I think the post that hurt me most was when someone said to the eastcoaster person that they were sorry for answering me without knowing me first. I'm the kindest woman in the world! Everybody tells me that! Thinking that this other person thought I was a horrible troll made me feel like a wrecked train!
Some of you were nice, but some of you were VERY nasty to me. I'm still shaking, but I'm not crying now. I'm mad, and I want you all to know I'm not a troll.
I AM a conservative. I live a block away from a very wonderful (R) state congressman, and since I live on a busy corner, I put his signs in my yard every time he's up for re-election. The BIG signs. My neighbors think I'm nuts. I think I'm patriotic, and since I can't donate to his campaign, I figure I've got to do what I can do.
Now, as to that eastcoaster person, I think he/she should be reported to whomever owns this site. They posted my PRIVATE email??!! They called me names!??? They made me feel defensive, and MOST UNWELCOME!!!??? AND MY HUSBAND didn't LOSE HIS JOB!!!! He's a brilliant, gifted inventor, but he works for a start-up company, and we have gone for five years with and without pay, the longest being a 19 month period of time. I certainly don't BLAME President Bush. It was our decision; but many of his policies do not make life easy for us. Our standard of living has gone down in the past five years--that's all I'm saying; to say otherwise would be a lie, and I DON'T LIE!!!--I continue to vote for conservative values because of right-to-life issues and many, many, many other things.
I am also very ill; I can only sit for a few hours each day, and can't work, and lots of the stuff going on with medicine in this country is WRONG, and you ALL know it! If this is a forum for free thinking and expression of ideas, can't we express them?
I still haven't decided if I will come back to this site. When I told my daughter what happened, she said I should stay away. She said there are good people on these sites, but it is mostly a bunch of people without lives who try to destroy the happy lives of others.
All I know is, if the listowner allows people like that to remain, people like me will find another conservative site to go to, or we'll start our own.
