I read the post about Jay's sight. I pinged PeoplesRep_of_LA to this thread because she (he?) was the person who started this thread for Jay, Prayers requested for FReeper Prime Choice.

That thread was posted almost a year ago. Here's hoping for good news.

I FReepmailed PeoplesRep_of_LA several months ago, and I never got a response. I pinged JimRob to see if he knew how we could get in touch with some of Jay's family, but I never heard from him either. The last time I heard from Jay, he was losing his eyesight, and the cancer was destroying his pancreas. At that time he could only see about 18 inches in front of him. I felt so bad for him. I think he told me he was about 25, and married, but that's about all the information I had on him. That FReepmail was in October.

I know this is only trivial but IIRC, he drove a 1992 Hyundai when he was talking on a car thread, it was soon after my mother got her Hyundai. One cartoon he did was kind of a prophesy where he did Digital Pearl Harbor that was done as a cover of a book about cyber attacks and he used Osama Bin Laden as the author's name. The date of the cartoon was 7/01/2001, two months prior to 9-11.
