How about a Vegas Trip for Freepers!
May 18th, 2005 | Vanity

Posted on 05/18/2005 11:34:21 AM PDT by missyme

Okay Freeper dudes and Freeperettes!

It has come to my attention that some folks around here would not mind meeting and socializing with other FReepers in Vegas!

So here's the Challenge! How many of you would want to go to Vegas?, one hotel for freepers and bring family, pets, whoever! to attend a Speaker (Conservative) Conference social weekend? or just a social?

We have some excellent planners around here! Pissant for one and some that shall remain nameless for the time being..

Okay seriously! post your opinions!

BTW: Everyone will have to wear there screen name.....

While I would love to do this, and while the wife would probably love to go to Vegas again (this time without the kids), the main reason that this wouldn't work for us is in my tagline. Sadly.

"Sin City"
(A. Young / M. Young / B.Scott)

Diamonds and dust
Poor man last, rich man first
Lambourginis, caviar
Dry martinis, Shangri-la
I got a burning feeling
Deep inside of me
It's yearning
But I'm going to set it free
I'm going in to sin city
I'm gonna win in sin city
Where the lights are bright
Do the town tonight
I'm gonna win in sin city
Ladders and snakes
Ladders give, snakes take
Rich man, poor man,
Beggar man, thief
Ain't got a hope in hell, that's my belief
Fingers Freddy, Diamond Jim
They're getting ready,
look out I'm coming in
So spin that wheel, cut that deck
And roll those loaded dice
Bring on the dancing girls
And put the champagne on ice
I'm going in to sin city
I'm gonna win in sin city
Where the lights are bright
Do the town tonight
I'm gonna win in sin city

Hey, just days before our wedding, she voted for Guiliani over David Dinkins for mayor! (Am I'm sure she did it again the second time, but I'm less sure about the third go 'round.)

And she voted for Perot, not Clinton (the first time around).

She's sort of drifted in that direction. I'm thinking years of civil service have started frying brain cells or something....

We need to select the most liberal city in the country and go there.

If by liberal you mean democrat voting percentage.......
That would be Detroit. 93 1/2%

Overlooking the famous Las Vegas Strip, the MGM Grand features 5,034 elegant guest rooms and magnificent suites, all offering the very finest in amenities and personal service. Within its four 30-story emerald-green towers, the MGM Grand offers nine different kinds of rooms and suites to please any guest, from the Deluxe Rooms and Players and Spa Suites to the luxurious Grand Class 29th floor suites. MGM Grand is proud to offer the new satellite registration/hotel check-in facility at Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. This is the first of its kind opened by a hotel company at any U.S. airport. Guests of the MGM Grand can check-in/register and receive their room keys while they wait for their luggage at the new 500-square-foot facility located in south baggage claim near the exit from the C and D gates. Other services at the airport registration facility include restaurant reservations and the opportunity to purchase show tickets for either MGM Grand shows or New York-New York Hotel/Casino events and shows. The company is also offering luggage transfer and shuttle service from the airport to MGM Grand and New York-New York for an additional charge.

OK. If we can't go to Detroit and we go to Vegas, let's at least make the best of it and wear anti-Dingy Harry t-shirts.
