If you bother to look at my posts, I am like so many others who DO NOT AGREE with what is going on in Washington. Why do these posters put people in these umbrella categories? Good God man, if you vote one way are you guilty for every politician's sins? Does it make you and several other poster FEEL better to blame a GROUP rather than to address the REAL problem? I'm doing my best to manage a middle class lifestyle while the politicians in DC would rather discourage any success (other than the elites) to rise above a $50k-$100K lifestyle.

If you haven't noticed you can't retire or send a child to college for any less.

Why do you begrudge me because I was born in 1957 to parents who made less than $10K a year to better myself? I have never gotten a thing from government but an IRS notice that I owed them something during a very difficult pregnancy in my late 30's. Turns out they owed me, but the three years had passed.

I have been eligible for handouts most of my childhood and early adulthood. Not a cent was taken. I figured it would be better off given to people who could not manage. I don't need a lecture from someone who may have not had such a difficult time making it.

I'm sick of this thread, which was supposed to be a "feel good nostalgia sort of thing". If you are some sort of GEN X or whatever, take a long look inside and ask yourself, where are you, where do you want to go, and who is responsible for getting you there? Chances are, it is NOT the government.
