Most people probably don't think Paul Anka would smell a lot like teen spirit. He's out to change all that.

He remakes songs by modern rock artists and adds a big band arrangement. Among the songs he covers are "Lovecats," "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Everybody Hurts," as well as "Black Hole Sun" and "Wonderwall."
The album was released in Germany and debuted in the top ten. It will be released in the U.S. on June 7th.

Just like Pat Boone and his heavy metal album
This kind of re-mix
even puts psycho Aussie
animals to sleep!
R.E.M.? Nothing really lost there if he covers that song.
"Black Hole Sun"
I'm sure Chris Cornell is just thrilled about this news.

Good for him. He's gotta make a living.
Paul Anka must have mellowed. When I saw him he didn't bitch out the audience for showing up late and the whole band was wearing t-shirts because their equipment got lost.
I've heard the tapes of him chewing out a band member for wearing a t-shirt onstage.
Makes Buddy Rich seem nice by comparison.
Band members trade these tapes around. Listen in sometime.
I'll only get pissed if he does a Guns n' Roses cover.
How about Lesley Gore singing AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"?
