Sorry, but I think you may be misplacing your support for the troops. Speaking as one who just returned from Iraq less than 2 months ago, I would say that in some ways, Lucas is absolutely correct. The reason we are in Iraq may be different than the reason we were in Viet Nam, but what we are doing there is essentially the same (if I understand my Viet Nam history correctly).

We have established camps. From these camps we have set up remote positions which we call foward operating bases instead of firebases. from the forward operating bases, we send out patrols, who drive around, looking for bad guys.

Sometimes, we set up ambushes and catch the insurgents as they are getting set up to attack us, other times, we don't catch them in time, and they spring their ambushes, then fade away, leaving our troops with nothing to shoot at.

I've been waiting 28 years for this movie, and would cross through a picket line by Bush, Condi Rice, Cheney, and Rumsfeld to get inside the theater for this one.

well enjoy...I'm just spreading the word to those who may be unaware of what Lucas had to say to the foreign press. My support for the troops is so strong I've recently enlisted...so I'd hardly call it misplaced. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion as well.

I just don't think Lucas deserves my money...ever again.
