[Knitting A Conundrum]

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date....



See the relativists,
who believe in the here and now,
but not the future,
in touch with the animal side of nature -
who touches whom,
who eats what
seem more important to them
that the things that make us human -
love focused on the beloved,
the true dignity of human life,
the sure knowledge there is more to life
than grunting in a pigstye -
at least the animals in the field
know more about the fruits of reproduction
than those too selfish
in their zoic pleasures
to share
with the next generation.
