Is House worth the time? Seems interesting.
pa mom - as for House, the reason to watch is Hugh Laurie. Each episode is a little too "last-minute-saving-the-day" for my taste (some of which is unavoidable, given the premise), but Hugh Laurie is great. I rather doubt that House could last without him.
Definitely worth the time. Believable with regard to hospital politics, but as to the medicine, they have a few too many zebras to be believable, lots of solutions in the nick of time that no one really would have considered. I realize some things are done for the sake of story telling (like having the docs do everything - from the MRIs to the blood draws) - you can only go so far with ensemble casts. CSI does the same.
The show is worth it for the clinic scenes if nothing else - the patients are extremely believable, and House says things to them most doctors "wish" they could say but don't dare.
The little old lady with the Peter Graves character and the "little blue pill issue" last night was great.
