Inexpensive bulk products cost more to transport and retail then to grow. Most of the cost of peas, or soybeans, or sand is distribution not materials.

I have heard of goober peas, but this is the first time I have heard of a goober in peas.

Or was he resting in peas?

Maybe he asked them to peas get a backhoe to dig him out from under. Even pretty peas.
