You are one of those that represent the kind of Moms that Mother's Day is all about. Your child/children will always remember that. Your perseverance, though difficult, is a lesson in life to your kid(s) that can't be bought.

I've been dating a lady almost a year now that experienced the same thing. Her son, a Marine now serving in the Army, was in Iraq back in May 2003 until that Christmas. He's leaving in winter headed back to Afghanistan. His personal dedication to doing some important things right in his life is a direct result of what his mother taught him by example. He re-upped even after the birth of his son(first child) in July 2004.
