The Tolerance Myth

Not all first-day FReepers are as bright and lucid as you Troll-spotters - that doesn't imply, infer, or entail that they should all be Zotted.

 

Then perhaps they should acquaint themselves with FR's do's and don'ts and answer a couple questions when they post a useless vanity. This looks more like a post and run to me, which is an all to common TROLL tactic. If you don't want the "ZOT" be prepared to defend your position, especially when it is a vanity!

 

We have been inundated lately. It takes only a little research on the part of a new poster to figure out proper etiquette.

Tolerance does not mean the acceptance (and certainly not the celebration!) of viewpoints that are different from ours. It means allowing those of different viewpoints to live in peace among us (provided they return the favor, of course).

Let us all be “tolerant” of those whose background and upbringing have equipped them with an alternative point of view.

 

Most conservatives share a similar upbringing. You will find that out if you hang around here long.

 

I for one am not "tolerant" of gay, gang, progressive, or liberal points of view. So what alternative points of view are you speaking of.

The actual definition of "tolerance" when juxtaposed with the current PC idea of tolerance shows it's false premise..
