When mccain publicly and severely criticized the Swift Boat Vets for saying exactly what he had said about Kerry when he returned from Vietnam, he lost any chance of ever having my respect.

Exactly. Once a hero does not exempt you for being accountable for anti-American comments and behaviour for life. The signing of CFR, was the first best favor he ever did for Dems and Commies. Wonder if they'll show the part where he and Kerry agreed to shred MIA/POW records, to help open trade with Vietnam.

To each their own. I have little respect for McCain's RINO tendencies as a politician, but I will always have respect for his service to our country. That is something beyond politics, and should always be revered, regardless.
