Dawn, comes too soon,
and wakes me with glare,
knowing I'd rather sleep till noon!
I slept to noon one lonely day,
so I snuggled in the hay and watched
a spider spin a web into a silken pillow for my head.
Lazy moments filled my head
as I lay sleeping like a log
upon my ancient feather bed
Dawn . . . fluffy pillow under my head
Comfy quilt upon my bed
Aw rats . . . I gotta pee!!! . . . ;-)
I pry myself up, eyes closed
staggering along the wall
hope I remember which turn along the hall

The hall was black there is no wall
I think I'll take a giant fall
into a huge and swirling black hole
