To: bad company
During WWII, when meat was rationed,I can remember signs on the butcher shop window saying "Fresh Horsemeat today".It wasn't rationed and my mom would buy it whenever it was available.

As I recall it wasn't too bad at all.We also could get organ meats,such as liver and kidneys pretty regularly, but they were not anywhere near the top of my preference list.

Seems like chicken was usually available,so we ate a lot of that too.
