If I were to talk about Al Gore at a basketball game I'd shoot myself, unless someone shot me first which is more probable. And for some reason, I no longer get invited to Cocktail parties. Hahahahaha
In the sixties all the East Bay rich kids went there.
The weekend before the election in 2000, I went a wedding in Chapel Hill where most of the biggest GOPd onors in NC attended; you've never seen such a disspirited bunch of people, whining about Bush losing.
Much to my (later) embarassment, I gave a virtual electoral college "presentation," sans the pointer, of course, to this bunch of GOP insiders based solely on what I had read here on FR, mostly Dales' predictions.
Election Night they all kept calling me, saying he was going to lose; I just kept saying, "Don't go to bed, he's got it."
Needless to say, they think I'm brillant, all based on stuff copped off FR. :-)
I was just checking to see if you'd say something like "The Finger-lickin' Booger Eaters Punk Band, Of course!".......
And it was that same election that brought myself and thousands of others to this site. No one went to bed for quite a few nights during that time.
