Some mighty bitter people thoughtlessly post some silly, aggressive and even nasty things lately. For some reason, it seems easier to be nasty at a keyboard than across the dinner table. Civility and consideration for others seems to have gone the way of the buggy whip.

Is there any reason not to like the Brits?

Some posters have been pretty vicious about all Europeans lately... including the Brits.

It's probably just backlash, Americans know that they are hated by Europeans (mostly French and Germans), and so some just bunch the Brits in along with them.
