What if you had a show, hosted by somebody like Ann, who could deliver a really good rant, then introduce somebody like Mark Levin or Zell Miller who could do the B block, maybe host and guest together for the C block, and for the trailer, hell, I don't know, you have 23 minutes to fill. But a conservative rant show instead of the endless "equal time" crap would be a welcome relief from the dark night of cable news.
I agree Ann can deliver a seriously good rant! She has a standing guest spot every Wednesday on a radio show in LA hosted by Al Rantel. She's just perfect in the "guest" medium. But I once heard her guest host the show while Al was on vacation, and while I liked it (I think Ann is hilarious even when she's only performing at half her usually caliber) I could tell that she was not as comfortable in the part.
As far as I'm concerned the funniest conservative entertainment out there is Laura Ingraham's radio show. But Laura herself admits that it doesn't translate well to television. But I swear, just doing a live feed of her broadcasting her show would probably be hilarious (though perhaps unwittingly so!).
Whatever it is, it has to be something new. It can't be just "the conservative version" of the Bill Maher Show or the Daily Show. The Daily Show was somewhat unique and that's what made it initially interesting. First off, you'd have to distinguish it from other conservative host political shows (Hannity & Colmes, et al) by calling it primarily a political entertainment show.
