It's amazing how frequently the 'need to set the record straight' coincides with an upcoming book deal.
Exactly!
Any GENTLEMAN who cared enough about someone he KNEW was a celebrity to get involved with her in the first place would realize the importance of her public image to her and respect her need for DISCRETION...if he had a real 'need' to 'set the record straight' with his own family members or close few who knew something then he might set the record straight privately in strict confidence but would never go public and hurt her.
Sadly some 'low' people today would likely say chivalry is dead and gentlemen are anachronistic fools who are few and far between anyway and that in this media obsessed age a mere book deal trumps once-common standards of honouring and keeping faith with a lady :-(.
They'd be WRONG...but I guess they have another all-too-common-these-days poster boy for ill-mannered indiscreet unchivalry in the form of this lowlife :-(.
Regardless of whether any of these allegations are true or untrue I feel sorry for Paula.
