We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Vice President Cheney stated yesterday that Al Qa'eda had been hurt since the 9/11 attacks, but was still actively recruiting members to perpretrate attacks on the American homeland.
The search continues for the pilots of two planes lost over Iraq. It is believed the planes collided during operations in bad weather.
In Pittsburgh yesterday, police arrested a deaf-mute man for shooting his deaf-mute sister and his deaf-mute brother-in-law for attempting to move his deaf-mute parents.
And the media did finally get around to commenting on Laura Bush's performance before the National Press Club. The headline of the op-ed piece in the NY Times went thus: LAURA BUSH TALKS DIRTY. The content of the article lived up to the billing--a total hit piece.
The leftstream media cannot buy a clue to find a clue as to how to get it. They are hopeless.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Ewwwwww. No ice cream for me, thank you.
I am ready for some, too. I've just come in the house from surveying the frost damage. It's going to be major.
Asiatic and Oriental Lilies are bent over, drooping and limp. Clematis are already beginning to darken. The top lavyer of Hosta leaves are darkening and are limp. Even the wild columbine are toast (which is a blessing, I'm finally going to get rid of those rascals)
The climbing hydrenga doesn't look like it took a major hit. It is inside a fence and protected in it's own little microclimate.
I don't even want to think about how many thousands of dollars were frosted off. It will take a few days of warm weather before I can determine what will come back and what needs to be tossed on the compost pile.
Good morning, kassie. I think his earthshaking announcement should be: "Ah am sorrah for giving nukes to North Korea."
Oh, good morning to you too!
I know, kassie. Whatever it is, it will most likely focus on him......EVERYTHING is about him.
It's a political issue because it's pseudo-science.
The average global temp back a couple thousand years ago as sub arctic.
And mankind had nothing to do with that.
Before that ice age, the earth had an average temp of 'tropical' proportions.
Main dominant creature was huge lizards.
Mankind has less impact on global temperature than the global worming guys would like us to believe.
It amuses me that some people actually buy into it.
Oh, how I despise that man.
>>What irritates me is, why does he think anyone cares what he has to say. He is a has been.
Prediction - he supports Bush's SS plan
Yes, he is a complete washout. I am so pleased that, if I'm not mistaken, EVERY southern state he campaigned in for Kerry......Kerry lost.
"It's a political issue in the US because senior execs at Exxon Mobil don't want to see carbon emissions restricted. The rest of the world already accepts the science of climate change and is looking for ways to combat it. "
Volcanoes put out far mor carbon than human industry combined.
Would you like to restrict volcano emissions?
the 'science' of it isn't.
"It's interesting that, even in the US, some companies recognise that the science is real.."
So mankind was responsible for global 90 degree weather during the time of the dinosaurs?
And the last ice age as well?
Sorry, not buying it.
Climate change is something that happens naturally apart from mankind's pathetic puny efforts.
Tell me, how do you explain the last ice age then?
It amuses me that you picked this thread to drop by and launch a grenade.
Yeah, kinda like stepping into the dragon's den and acting surprised when there's a dragon in it.
*chuckle*
RW, found a guy here who is a global warming proponent.
He also seems to think, from his wording on 'reducing emissions', that the Kyoto treaty is a-ok.
Nevermind that China produces more carbon dioxide emissions than the US.
If you can, grab some of the other sci types when you look this guy over.
Mr. Chairman. I finally am getting around to reading "Atlas Shrugged". It is scary how many of those far-fetched predictions are trying desperately to come true.
"No one's trying to deny that there are naturally occurring variations in the climate."
No, they're just claiming that man has more leverage with the climate than natural processes that occur independant of mankind.
"The question is this: is the current warming trend that the earth is experiencing a result of these natural influences, or is mankind playing a part?"
It's a natural trend.
There was a warming trend and then a mini-ice age ocurred.
The Vikings were frozen out of Vinland due to a mini Ice Age.
They had found grape vines in Vinland.
The area they spoke of has no such flora growing there now.
