AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1564) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | May 2, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 05/03/2005 4:31:41 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Vice President Cheney stated yesterday that Al Qa'eda had been hurt since the 9/11 attacks, but was still actively recruiting members to perpretrate attacks on the American homeland.

The search continues for the pilots of two planes lost over Iraq. It is believed the planes collided during operations in bad weather.

In Pittsburgh yesterday, police arrested a deaf-mute man for shooting his deaf-mute sister and his deaf-mute brother-in-law for attempting to move his deaf-mute parents.

And the media did finally get around to commenting on Laura Bush's performance before the National Press Club. The headline of the op-ed piece in the NY Times went thus: LAURA BUSH TALKS DIRTY. The content of the article lived up to the billing--a total hit piece.

The leftstream media cannot buy a clue to find a clue as to how to get it. They are hopeless.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

This new designer antibiotic,,,, was it called "Z Pack"?

They gave me that last fall when I had heavy duty sinus infection and it turned me around to the point where I wasn't dragging within a 4 days. I wasn't cured, but I was enough better that I could go about my work.

If it is something newer, please find out what it is and tell us about it. Some of us need Miracle Drugs now and then to bounce back from the creeping crud.

So glad Em has the Rx and hope she will be feeling like herself again soon. And you, my dear, what about you? As I recall you were expressing symptoms last night. How are you feeling? I know you're busy and don't have time to be sick. How you can fend it off.

It really sounds like you two have the same thing going on.

Yup, the doc told her to take the cough stuff only at night because it has, I believe, codeine in it, among other things. During the day she can take her regular Robitussin or whatever.

She's been sick off & on for 2 weeks!!

And this girl NEVER gets sick! Ever!

Not that she hasn't had her share of other problems.;^)

Hubby's the same way. He rarely gets sick but when he does, he is SICK. Big time.

She got a note from the doc excusing her from work tomorrow; she hopes to be well enough by Thursday to go in for her shift.

Yep, Z-pack.

I am dragging. Sore throat, congestion, a bit achy.

At least I'm not coughing....not yet, anyway. If & when that starts, I am armed with plenty of asthma meds so I'll head it off at the pass.;^)

I am very, very tired, though, so I think I will call it a night.

Toodles............see y'all tomorrow.........or more properly, given my location, see all of youse guys tomorrow.:)

I'm not whistling anymore. :) My dr gave me a script for Ceftin, I will have it filled tomorrow. This has been going on for a week, and I need to knock it out.

You should be feeling better in a few days, then. I think this roller coaster weather has put a lot of people beside the Kleenex box.

I've been fighting off 'scratchy eyes' for a couple of days. It feels like I've got grit in my eyes.

An Alevert improves the situation, but it only supresses it, it doesn't fix it.

I think allergies are part of my problem also.

I've just been on the Laura Bush threads, rolling my eyes here. I'm off to bed, I need to rest. Talk to you all later...

It's even chilly in central Texas. It was 58 degrees this AM and hovered around 64 the rest of the day. It was great for working in the yard. I guess global warming has moved to another planet.

They think "man" can effect the climate because they think themselves equal to God. Tain't nothing we can do to change what He has put into motion. The Enviro nuts haven't caught on and probably never will.

And I'll rescue you from killing the thread. I'm waiting for the Ad aware program to identify all the junk that came in the backdoor, so I can zap it out.

I will accept the responsibility for killing the thread for tonite. Unless, of course, someone else comes along and I can hand it off.

I'm going to call it a night.

I do volunteer every day - from 0730 in the morning until about 1:30 p.m. I volunteered 1158 hours for the clinic in 2004 and they are appreciative. As a retired nurse/social worker, I am helpful to have around :-)so they tell me.

We have 2.78 acres here and I mow about an acre - the orchard and the area between the lower yard and the river, I let the gardner take care of. This time of year, it takes me about 6 hours to mow, weed whack and hedge trim. Keeps me in good health. I just had a physical and my doctor tells me I am in extraordinary health for any age and particularly for my age :-) I also had a Dexa bone scan and have the bones "of an ox". Everything would be perfect in my world if I still had Larry to share my life.

I stay as busy as I can and that helps.

How much frost damage do you have? Hopefully not much. I have a friend who is in our local Master Gardner program and she is checking on the Silver King for me - she believes it will grow fine here. I looked a pictures on the internet and like the looks of it.

Thanks for the info on the bus to the cruise ports. I found a busline that goes from Orlando to Miami for $15 (of course, one must have a cruise reservation.)

I'll probaby end up killing the thread. I am wired from the cold meds, tried for 2 hours to sleep. I give up...

Tomorrow we're having a fundraiser at work for the annual Festival of Trees. It is a salad lunch, they can choose 3 salads for $5.00. Plus a roll, cookie, and drink. We made 500 dollars for the last soup fundraiser. I made a chicken caesar salad and an ambrosia fruit salad. Yum.
