As Ann Coulter says, only argue with a liberal if you must.

Whatever concrete arguments you make, they'll change the subject, appeal to emotion, or make the same argument again, as if they haven't heard you.

It's pointless, FRiend. Liberals only discover reality when it personally smacks 'em in the face.

Good luck ... But I'm betting your personal experience made you open to reason when Rush came calling. Until that sort of real, live, experience affects a liberal, they're unreachable.

Rusty....I know you and you're just like me....always looking for a good argument with a liberal weenie. Forget about sending links such as moorelies.com....weenies DO NOT read links provided. The fear of being wrong overrides the quest for the truth. Since I'm still in the belly of the beast and have extensive experience dealing with these weenies (as you used to be), the #1 best method I've found is to have 100% control of the debate/argument. Allow the weenie to bring up a point and then NEVER allow him/her to change the subject until you see that the weenie has seen that that one point is a loser. Otherwise, THEY will control the argument and you will go for the ride of your life through topics that change more than John Kerry's position on abortion. It's about control....and YOU need to have it. When they change the subject, just stop them, tell them not to change the subject, remind them of what the subject actually was, and hammer the shit out of the subject until YOU want it changed.....then allow them to change it.

Otherwise, they will fly through subjects quicker than you can address them....thus (here's their logic at work), anything you do not address is correct in their mind. Plus, by flying through ever-changing topics, they keep YOU on the defense....constantly defending Republicans or Republican/conservative ideas that have nothing to do with what you WERE talking about.

Stop wasting your time. Create a message rule for your email that places the friend's e-mail directly into the deleted file. Send the friend an e-mail that says call me when you grow up.

One of life's frustrating truths is that really stupid people are frequently too damn stupid to have any grasp of how stupid they are. I think your friend's friend may fall into that category; a lot of brainwashed young leftists do. To add insult to injury they're often quite smug about how smart they are. So I'm tempted to caution you not to hold out too much hope of winning any arguments.

But please - don't hold out on us. Can you re-post some of the junk your friend's friend is putting forward? When he tries to assert George Bush is "responsible for 9/11" does he mean that he buys the theory that Bush actually directed an operation to fly planes into the WTC?

The latest lefty on CSPAN today said that Cheney was the guy behind 911 and W was just his tool.

I love the 911 conspiracy theories because two of my old classmates and friends are allegedly two of the "secret conspirators".

I guess I should just call them up and ask them if they did it. ;-)
