Why Is Scott Still On 'Idol'? Is “votefortheworst.com” propping him up? (+ Bo’s dr

SCOTT Savol, who seems to be the most unlikely finalist on "American Idol" this season, just keeps hanging on.

And viewers are beginning to wonder exactly how Savol, the pudgy kid from Shaker Heights, Ohio, is managing to pull it off, while fan favorites like Constantine Maroulis get the boot, as he did Wednesday night.

Some point to the efforts of a Web site called votefortheworst.com, which considers "Idol" a joke and encourages viewers to cast their votes for Savol because, it says, "he is the worst."

"I think our site definitely has some effect on the results for 'Idol,' " says Dave DellaTerza, the site's creator.

"I always used to say it's just like any 12-year-old girl power-voting for [Idol wannabe] Carrie [Underwood]," he says.

That girl "thinks her results affect the show, too, when they just help to contribute. But I've changed my tune a bit since our Web site got over 100,000 hits in the last two days. Now I'm hearing from people who throw 'vote for the worst' parties, who get office pools together to vote for Scott . . . This has definitely turned into something huge, which I hope will continue."

It was a shock Wednesday when Maroulis, who had never before come even thisclose to getting tossed from the show, was voted out. But the native New Yorker took it in stride.

I like your analysis, except I'd give Bo a little more credit (the hair is something, isn't it?). :-)

Low is OUT man. We hike them UP. And we keep the peanut butter sandwich that mom made in our front pocket.

Cool. I bet you wrap it in aluminum foil too, so all your friends will think it is actually a PDA.

Actually, you would do better to immerse yourself in MY thoughts.

BO has the BEST VOICE he is right up there with Bob Seeger or lead singer from JOURNEY forgot his name..

Actually, I think Bo’s voice is closest to that of David Clayton Thomas (lead singer for “Blood Sweat and Tears.”)

you're entitled to your opinion ... I think he is the 3rd best on vocals ... behind Vonzell and Carrie.

Maybe you just reminising (sp?) about some Night Moves and you find Bo attractive. That's all good. Don't be hatin' as Scott Savol should be saying.

CUTE :)
Actually BO has a unique voice Vonzell DOES NOT..Carrie is good as a Country Wetern Singer like Leanne Rimes...

BO will win because he is the most creative with his vocals.
He is a True ROCKER not like the ones we have today GReen Peas or Green Beans or whoever that sorry band is that won a grammy..

He’s dark, like a singing serial killer or something.

LOL!

We aren't sorry Scott keeps hanging on either because he's atypical and we're from the Cleveland area too. The only thing that bugs me about him is the street slang speaking inflections and mannerisms - it's not extremely overt gangsta but I wish he'd drop it anyway.

I'm sorry but Constantine's rendition of that Nickelback song sucked big time, it took me a few bars to figure out what the hell he was singing

you wouldn't know that he could carry a tune (I only tune in on occasion), he was resting on his looks man....and that Anwar dude he reminds me of Lionel Ritchie, puke

now that Scott fellow, he has that kind of sweet Aaron Neville kind of voice which makes him unique and he's looking better with each show, amazing what a stylist can do huh, look at old Clay Aiken, raking in more money than Ruben by far.......

the only thing is Scott needs more power, more passion, more oomfph to his delivery

now the Russian dude, sent him straight to Celine Dion or Broadway

I like Carrie and Vondzell though Bo has an appeal
