I went to this movie based on some of the reviews, and I'm here to tell you I walked out of it. The few chuckles you get can't make up for the sheer stupidity of it. Sorry.
I suppose the lesson here is to be careful about movies based on fringe humor. Monty Python is legendary, but only a tiny minority of people have ever seen them. Audiences for this kind of humor are generally self selecting.
That said, the original humor was entirely verbal rather than visual (being a radio play), and most of the original Britishisms were removed from the movie.
