Last may. It is filthy and has never quite recovered from that A-s ugly makeover from back in the 1970s. It is not filthy. Definitely not any more filthy after a game than Wrigley or Fenway.
Want an old stadium with class, go to Wrigley. Want a modern stadium with good food and better sightlines no matter where you sit, go to Safeco.
I've been to Wrigley quite a few time and it is a great place, especially for its age. I've never been to Safeco. I'm going to Kaufman Stadium this year in Kansas City.
I've been to quite a few ballparks and there is nothing quite like the atmosphere of Yankee Stadium, especially during the playoffs. No ballpark rivals its history or tradition. This is why it is called baseball's "Cathedral".
Anyway, A-Rod is up.

Looking at the box scores of these games: Only Rocky Colavito had 4 at-bats. Most had 6. Only Gil Hodges and Shawn Green had more than 4 hits in the game. Green went 6-for-6. Mark Whiten had 12 RBI in his game.

I like history in a park. Tiger stadium was great and I didn't think I would like Comerica park but my wife and I went there last season and were amazed at how nice that place was. Still I hated to lose the history of Tiger stadium.History is important. The loss of Tiger Stadium for that very reason was a shame.

Whiten is the only one who could have done it, nobody else had 4HR and at least 10RBI.

Except Shawn Green, but I don't think he did, either.

Comerica park has done a good job of promoting Tiger history. There are some great statues on the grounds and the names are on the walls.

Another great new park I went to was Miller Field in Milwaukee. The place is enormous and it is right next to the Brewery ;) The Bratwurst is good too...

On August 1, 1972 I saw Nate Colbert of the Padres hit 5 HR's and knock in 11 runs in a doubleheader.

Hey who was the guy on here who would cry that the Yankees were "all about the logo" and nothing else? Who was it?
