The special effects weren't quite as state-of-the-art as I remember them. I watched a few episodes a few years ago while visiting the Museum of Television in NYC. It didn't quite hold up, but the Sleestaks were still scary.

but the Sleestaks were still scary.I use to have the most horribley terrifying nightmares aboutthe sleestaks!But i always dressed up as a sleestak for halloween from 75 until 78 when they stopped making the costumes.Interesting bit of trivia notre dame and detriot pistons basketball star Bill Laimbeer played a sleestak on the show
