So cute! Check out my profile. Kenny is my bud, I call him my puppy cat.
I dream of a week away from the business. A cabin in the woods, a stream or lake nearby filled with hungry fish. Alone with my husband. No phones, no internet, no nagging relatives ... bliss.
I do love the kitties.
Naturally, it is not shrimping season.
We did go into Darien, GA, to watch the annual "Blessing of the Fleet." I didn't think that watching a bunch of shrimp boats tooling up a river being blessed by the local Who's Who of clergy would be interesting, but it was quite fun.
I need to replace my horrid indulgence (smoking) with your indulgence! I just picked up "Quitting Smoking for Dummies" at the grocery checkout this morning. I'll just keep on quitting until something works!
Good day to you!
Thats funny! Poor Peaches, she really needs to be on a diet. I promised myself this year after tax season, now, I would take her outside more often and attempt to get her to move some. I am starting that Monday.
I've mentioned that we moved last year. Our old house did not have a tub in the master bathroom, just a small shower. There was a tub, but in the kids' bathroom. I never used it because it really wasn't relaxing being surrounded by kiddie fish decorations and toys.
The new house has the one thing I wanted, a big jacuzzi tub!!!! I love it! If I am stressed, I go light some candles and go soak in the tub. Sometimes hubby joins me, and sometimes it's just me!
I've learned that I really don't like the jacuzzi part (too noisy), and I don't like bubbles. I just like the bath to be hot and deep, and I like the bathing crystals that make the bath smell sooooo goood.
We don't have as much money to out with the new house, but we don't need to go out as much. I just make sure the kids are secure (either in bed or watching TV), and I go in the bathroom and close the doors. I can't hear the TV or the kids because the bathroom is far away from them.
If we ever move, one of the top priorities will be to have a soaking tub in my bathroom. It was a would like to have in this house, and it has turned into one of my favorite things about this house.
Ok here is peaches!

LOL! If you keep your fingers busy, it helps! My hubby quit chewing last year after 22 years. His dad thought it was funny when he tried it at 13. Jerk. Anyway, he switched to a non nicotine one for a year and quit that in January. Yippee! The addiction to the nicotine is over after 72 hours (I am pretty sure). Then you have to find a substitute for the fingers or lots of gum chewing for my hubby since he was a chewer. Good luck!!
ROFL!!!!!!!!!
You just perfectly described me - I avoided playing golf for YEARS....and when I finally did start playing I learned it was the GREATEST stress reliever on the face of the planet.
The advatange to living where we do is that I have gotten to know the owners of the fishmarkets - I know exactly how long what I'm buying has been out of the water!!!!
Of course doing a lot of the catching myself helps a lot!!!!!
Quitting is for losers - you want to stop smoking.
As much as I find the TV commercials to be obnoxious - I do know folks that have successfully stopped smoking using Smoke Away products. The claim is 7 days or your money back and everyone in the ads say it was less than 5.
I do know a woman that stopped smoking within 4 days and stopped using the SmokeAway products..............they ain't cheap - but apparently do work IF you REALLY want to stop smoking.
I have an idea for next week. Can we talk about our summer plans?
It has been so rainy and cold all spring in N. California, and I need to be reminded that summer is on its way.
I want sunny, hot weather for weeks at a time. If we talk about summer, at least it won't be as dreadful as it has been around here.
It snowed here in the Mitten all weekend. After nearly two weeks of beautiful, mild weather, the cold and snow has really got me down. Dreaming about summer is a great idea!!!
Funny thing--back in 1996, I won tickets to see a game of our Class A baseball team, the Lansing Lugnuts. It was the first time I ever had tickets. The game was snowed out...on May 1st.
We had tickets to the double header that was to be played here yesterday--only the second time I have ever had tickets. Snowed out. The games have been rescheduled for June 12th. We'll probably have tornados!
