There will be more lovely days! This is Colorado, remember? ;-)
If I swap discs, it'll be after this is all done...I'll come back here and change first. Thanks for letting me know where to look for it!
Wondering just how early I should set out. *bites fingernails*
Thanks! Good to see you around!
Who are the Star Wars nerds and when will you go to see the latest episode?
Interesting phrase considering the content of the pictures.
But I've said too much already...
I can't say I'm a Star Wars nerd.. I haven't seen the last one ;~D
The preview for the upcoming one looks cool. There's also Hitchhiker's Guide and the Bllom film Kingdom of HEaven. It may be a decent summer.
I used to be, before the last two abominations. Probably I'll see the new one, though. I'll be on summer break then and have some free time in the evenings.
I don't know what to expect from Hitchhiker's Guide... I love the books, not sure if they'll be funny in a 'serious' film... I've seen the low budget series, and they were campy and cheezy, but not really my image of the books either. We'll see!
I wonder if I should read it again... it's been years, not eve sure if I remember the plot.
Plot? What plot?
The Earth gets blown up and then they go knocking around the galazy, looking for the Meaning of Life, with random interludes of white mice, Brockian Ultra Cricket, tea, the occasional nova, and flying. And Marvin ends up approximately 27 times the age of the universe.
can't forgot Pan Galactic Gargleblasters
"Fantastic Four" is also due out this summer...
And a version of "War of the Worlds" that appears to be based on the front cover of a book by H.G. Wells, but promises entertainment nonetheless.
Isn't Hollywood falling behind on its quota of Philip K. Dick stories turned into movies?
So, speaking of anime (which we weren't)....
I just saw the trailer for Howl's Moving Castle, and realized you could probably answer the question I've had for a few decades now.
Why are the characters in Japanese cartoons usually pink-skinned and exaggeratedly large-and-round-eyed?
Dan
I am ~really~ hoping JarJar dies a horrible, brutal, slow, painful, gruesome death... that alone would make it worth seeing!
Because they learned to animate from Disney. Seriously! That's why! Look at early Disney movies and you'll see the same large eyes.
Have you seen Castle in the Sky? Your kids would love it.
Maybe we can go on your birthday ;~D
I would pay to see that.
There are some that haven't been, yet?
