ROSIE COTTON!

I need two bits of info from you...

1. What bus route number did you take coming home from church this morning?

2. What time did you get on the bus?

I tell ya folks, I HAVE HAD IT.

I just got back in from taking food to Steve. Stopped by McDonalds. Don't know why...I never get the correct order from this McDonalds and today was no different. When they gave me my order, I had a sinking feeling but didn't have time to check my order. Sure enough, I'd ordered the 3 deluxe breakfasts and they gave me 3 "big breakfasts" with no pancakes. Gave me lots and lots of syrup though. Also I ordered 2 extra sausages and there were no sausages to be found. In other words, half of what I paid for.

I've HAD IT!

HEADS ARE GONNA ROLL THIS MORNING.

We got some vey dramatic storms! I believe Steve was up for the most of the night but it paid off...his dye has already peaked and he's on his way to the lab to do that end of the work, then he's coming home!

The world is washed clean...very nice!

Heh...one of the last times I ordered from McDonald's, I got lucky. About the only thing I LIKE of theirs is their milk shakes, once in a great while. Ordered a small since that's all the money I had, but they gave me a medium. Bonus!

I always talk myself out of going to fast food places.

Even when we were traveling across country, we didn't do much fast food. But it's nice to have the convenience once in awhile!

About the only "fast food" we got was coffee. Every day, several times a day. But...that's different, I think! Necessary, doncha know.

Let's see....on my cross country trip I made one stop at a KFC.

For lunch the first day I just brought along a sandwich that I bought from the deli department of the grocery store. For supper I had KFC and I had KFC left-overs for lunch the next day.

Woo Hoo!! My Mantis just came!

Ha, growing up a picky eater, with picky eater siblings, we all learned that the first thing you do is check your food to make sure it's right. I could live with most mistakes, but not with cheese on my burger. So that's what always happened.

It's gotten better in the last few years, restaurants are used to special orders

But one set of stinky drunk had their pinkies extended at a proper 45 degree angle.

Yes, exactly. 45 degrees from the floor.

With picky eaters in the family, we never leave the parking lot of a fast food restaurant until we check the order...

We didn't order anything special! They just left off half our order!

Gosh it makes me so mad, but I gotta calm down or blow a fuse. My head felt like it was gonna explode earlier!

Joshua just came up and hugged me...said "You are the best mom, I love you so much...I love you more than yogurt."

:-)

Ah, GMTA.

Dreamed up a way to tighten the first page of my story so I've been writing for the half hour since I rolled out of bed. Have I mentioned that I love summer yet?

Afternoon, back from cap popping; scrubbed thoroughly with lava. LSA was putting them where it counted; she done real good. A bit of icecream and hoppe's No. 9.

The lawn needs mowing but I think it loolks nice when it's long. Although I have been corrected on that observation by others.

The old shingles are off the neighor's house, tar paper going down. They are actually quite a bit farther along than I thought they would be at this time.

OT - sounds like a good score on the plants. It may be time to move some more ferns to the back yard.

It is SO beautiful out there today - upper 60s, almost completely clear. We walked over to the bookstore - had to get out there!

I got the Ditty Bops' CD (Finally - I've about worn out their website jukebox...) and a book on calligraphy, so I'm happy.

And now...for the library! Mmmm...mysteries...

I hear hummingbirds out there....need to get the feeder up.

Miss Cat just had a lovely roll in the catnip in the sunroom.

Hurray on the Ditty Bops CD - Sister Kate is my fave. I spent the day up in the mountains reading a book. Just got off the phone with Big'ol and I joked about needing to get a library card while I'm out here... and I'll probably have to buy a box and mail all the books home that I've read out here.

But I found a little picnic spot and occupied a bench up in the firs and pines and listened to the birds - lots of hummingbirds this time of year. when they whoosh over they make a tweeedling-trilling sound like a vintage volkwagen bug. :)

It is now ocurring to me that I got a bit sunburned. Hrm.

I so love the mountains and the trees and the quiet. Feeds my soul.

It was a good day.
