Oops! My daughter, also known on this board as Soupy!
Chat view? 9pm next Saturday night?
Not this weekend but next?
Friday nights would be better for me. Next Saturday we're taking Jr. and some of his friends to a Brazillian restaurant for his birthday.
I'm thinking next weekend because I lurk over on the Saddle Club thread now and again and saw Hair mention she was camping with ecurbh in the back forty this weekend.
And I know that I'll be doing karaoke tomorrow night and Black Point on Saturday night, so I won't be home either night.
But next Friday is cool with me too. Has to be after 8pm EST though, so I can make sure the kids are down for the night.
Work out a time and I'll see what I can do.
I'm outta here.
I have no secrets! :~D
I swear I'm not stalking you, chica!
Don't have a horse of my own, so The Saddle Club is the next best thing.
Honey, how about we just toss all these dishes out and get new ones? :~D
~grins~
She's only 9 miles away. *grin*
9 miles away from ~me~, that is.
9 miles from ~you~...
Go for it!
If I had the right place, I would!
Any home in an agricultural area in Miami (that has more than an acre) is half a million bucks now!
A bit out of my price range.
That's a little much :~D

Dear Correy,
How are you! The boys and I have been wondering about you and Danny and Quinton and all the others in your unit. We havent seen you flying over so much any more. Sometimes late in the evening, I think I hear the Black Hawks flying over.
Matthew (my eldest) was studying about the Cuban missile crisis and I told him about how, since I was from the Houston area, we had to crouch under our desks for drills when I was little. I showed him where Houston was in comparison to Cuba on the map.
The next day, he just out of the blue said Im so glad I live in the middle of the United States, with the wide web of the Army National Guard around me. I nearly cracked up laughing but I was also very appreciative once again for you guys
you all make my kids feel safe and I cant thank you enough for that.
Now that Ive said all of this, I now will tell you that I have heard a rumor that you guys might be deployed! If this is true, I sure will miss hearing you fly over. And if its true, I hope you will think of me and let me know an address that I can write to so I can send cookies and such! The boys would love to be able to keep in touch.
Ok, just wanted to let you know that we still think about you and the guys in your unit. Please keep in touch
feel free to email me, that is the best way to contact me if you have the ability. My email address is
Just a bit, right? *shakes head*
I just have to be patient. Once the kids get bigger and I can move away from the "big city", I can get the right kind of place to get a horse.
For now though, I'd better get the night time routines rolling so I can have them in bed by eight!
Be back later.
That's a wonderful letter, 2J. Hope you get a quick response!
Did you write your phone number at the bottom?
I'm back! I'm not sure how it went. Pretty well, I think. Which is actually a little scary, since now I hear more, I'm not sure I want it. My experience would apply, and I'd get to deal more with users than I ever had before...but at the moment it would be a one-deep position with a LOT of hours. Eeek!
And there were lots of tough questions, too. Stuff like, "Think of an occasion in the past when your boss asked you to complete a task on which you disagreed with him. How did you handle this?" And asking to tell about co-workers I really didn't along with and why. Gah! I'da been far happier to answer the usual awkward interview questions, like "what would you consider your greatest strength? Your greatest weakness?" (Chocolate?) "Where do you see yourself in five years?" Not that those are fun, either.
Guess it was good practice, in any case. And for the last two jobs, I've interviewed for two positions, only one of which was really right.
No...I don't ever answer the phone very often. He's written me 2-3 times, so he'll probably just write me again, but it would be nice to establish an email contact...
This is to Correy, the one that wrote me such a nice letter and sent me his green "wings" patch.
