Robot Chess

I taught my robot to play chess,
It plays a decent game.
It’s better than some humans,
But isn’t quite the same.

It knows the standard openings,
Responding in a flash,
Compared to it at endgame,
My strategies are trash.

But in the middle I can hope,
Complexity confuses,
And misdirects the thinking that,
Its robot brainstuff uses.

If I can gain advantage,
When everything’s a mess,
I’ll be the lone surviving King,
Of Chaos, I confess.
