We had a problem around here with someone letting there "Chow" run loose. The athorities treated the whole thing like a joke. They did not want to be bothered. This chow had a problem with not likeing children. Finally, When approached by a 5 year old...This chow took a chunk out of his face....and left scares that will never go away. The owner still tried to rescue the chow from the court. The judge saw it different and had the dog put down. The owner also had no insurance and not a pot to pea in. The childs parents had to foot all the medical bills. I believe that chows need a whole lot of love and care if they are not to turn out with a mean side. They are no where near as mean as a pitbull who is out for blood.

had a similar problem here with a golden lab (in heat)(intentionally allowed to run freely at 4am), defecating in my (small) yard

You can solve the problem by studding a 5lb cake of prime rib bones with ducolax

we call them "Bungalow torpedoes".
