I know someone who wants one but could not afford the airfare to get him to Houston.

Wonder how much airfare would be? If you're serious I'd sure contribute!

Read a little further down...offer to transport was made...offer to accept the dog was withdrawn.

Have you and Sean worked out any details yet? Hoping to hear that you have a home found for the sweet little guy.

Yo quiero that little doggie.

Alas, I live in Florida.

There's a special place in heaven for you, Wolfie. You put yourself in a great deal of peril to rescue the pup.

There's so much goodness on this thread, I know this doggie tail will have a happy ending!

As long as he's out of the pound and safe, I know you'll find the right place that finds adoptive "parents" for dogs who need homes. I just adopted two new ones (one small, one big beagle-y type) from a pet adoption center after my three elderly doggies passed away.

I like the way you add the extra "g" to dog. It makes dogs seems badder than they really are it really ups your street cred.

Og boy! This is dejavu all over again... remember Rusty?
My son, MarkV found him a wonderful home in Ohio (Hi, Dutchess!) and Rusty was a lot bigger and also handful! I cannot take the little fellow in, but I am willing to help out financially if needed be. Count me in!

I did check your profile, looking for pics of your cats, and saw you have a link to the World Shooting Complex. You must live near there. It is exciting they are building such a site, but so sad the Grand American is leaving Ohio, after 80 years. Maybe, I will make it out there someday. I will shoot the last one in Vandalia this August.

Didn't mean to sabotage your thread Wolfie. :')

Oh Wolfstar...thanks so much for "saving" this adorable pup. MarkV "rescued" his neighbors dog from the pound and put out an appeal here. We had him shipped to Ohio on a cargo plane out of LA...the airlines is used to transporting dogs and was very good with him. Rusty is an absolute blessing...he THINK'S he's a chihuahua (but is 60 lbs!)

If you need more information on the airlines ping or freepmail me Wolfstar (it cost us around 250.00)

Thanks for the ping republican4ever! Hugs to Mark! ...and a big slurpy lick from Rusty :o)

Yes, it is about 25 miles from me.
It is in a very rural area of Southwest Illinois between Sparta IL and Marissa IL.
(which is about 70- miles from St. Louis)

We look forward to it and the county is pretty excited about it.
